ASKRAW UID

Hey Adam!

One other thing I gotta ask.  It's been driving me crazy.  When I use the "autotag" function, often the "askraw" UID listed changes.  Sometimes when using "autotag" I don't even get UIDs on some of the fields. (Examples below)

There's gotta be an easy explanation and I'm just missing it.

Can you help me out?

Thanks!

Adam

  • Good day!

Was hoping anyone might have an update?

    Thoughts?
  • You won't get any data if the fundamental parameters for that format do not match the raw data that was received. For example, you won't get HID26 data for a non-HID tag because a header won't match. However, you will get "RAW" formats for most things because it can always be interpreted as raw, regardless of how messed up the data is (except FSK which has to look like FSK data to work).
  • Ah.

That was my misunderstanding of the ASKRAW format.  That explains why the data looks different.

A red herring in my testing/tinkering.

    Thanks again!

    Adam
