Just a lesson in "don't be like me", and how to fix it if you do...
Was replacing the straight coils pins with 90 degree pins (to reduce the footprint on one axis) and accidentally lifted one of the pads.
Well, I wasn't going to let that stop me from achieving my goal, so I used some tiny hookup wire to connect the nearest connection (following the PCB traces) to the pad on the back side.
Well, that was almost a disaster, but at least an easy fix. Plugged it back in, no issues reading/cloning cards.
